Dear José,

I support your great initiative. As a microbiologist, I could contribute in the analysis of bacterial diversity.

Best regards,

Milagros

Dear José,

Thank you for your great and needed initiative. I hope that we can add value to this network as environmental economists. We have experience in qualitative and quantitative valuation of ecosystem services and goods, mostly in the Caribbean. Thereby demonstrating the contribution of ecosystems to the sustainable development of small island states and the well being of island residents. Please let me know, when we can be of support.

Best regards,

Esther

Dear José,

I really think that such an informal network of overseas biodiversity researchers that you propose to create is an excellent idea and I fully support it. Indeed, that network would mean a unique and innovative opportunity to set up research collaborations between overseas territories on biodiversity issues. In our case, we are a chemistry research group, and in my opinion, our contribution to the network (and to any future project proposal) would be very valuable: We are not only able to synthesize plenty of molecules with potential applicability in several fields, but more importantly, we have also developed ourselves sustainable chemical processes, some of them employing renewable feedstocks and/or agricultural biowastes which are abundant in all of our overseas regions (like grape pomace). Thus, you can count with our support and with our chemical background in order to develop the informal network of overseas biodiversity researchers. I really think this could be a very fruitful endeavor for all of us.

Best regards,

Victor
