A list of good practices was identified by the NetBiome partners in the various ORs and OCTs. in one or more of the following categories:

Characterization of biodiversity
Drivers of evolution
Biodiversity management
Governance and policies.

Good practices comply with one or more of the following criteria:

Significant contribution to conservation of biodiversity and ecological effectiveness
Provision of further environmental and socio-economic benefits
Applicability/transferability to other regions
Sustainability (i.e. projects remain beyond the initial funding)
Adaptive management of biodiversity (allowing to cope with change of environmental conditions, e.g. climate change)
Good governance (involvement of relevant stakeholders and integration of different interests perspectives and needs)
Generating multiplier/imitation effects
